Veolia has backed out of a partnership planning to build a refuse-derived fuel (RDF) power station in Jänschwalde, near the city of Cottbus in eastern Germany. The partnership with Veolia had been terminated by mutual agreement, power plant operator LEAG announced last week. The company said the decision had come about due to "differing assessments of the economic, regulatory, energy and waste-related developments, some of which were related to the consequences of Russia’s war in Ukraine”....
