British recovered paper prices rise slightly

|

Prices for ordinary recovered paper grades have edged slightly higher since the start of the year on Britain's market. Nonetheless, the year has started off on a slow note. In mid-January, many sources described the market as unspectacular. Demand was stagnant and nothing out of the ordinary was happening, insiders said.

Market insiders were awaiting with interest the start-up of the next large recycled corrugated case material machine at Stora Enso's facility in Ostroleka and its impact on the market. Saica’s PM 11 in Partington has now been operating for one year and is set to gradually increase output during the first quarter of 2013, with orders for recovered paper also increasing as a result, EUWID respondents reported.
The full report for the UK recovered paper market appears in EUWID Recycling and Waste Management 2/2013.
