The latest recovered paper (RCP) auctions staged by Comieco, the Italian consortium for the collection and recycling of paper-based packaging, were held on 1 December. These events covered material that will be delivered to companies in the next three months, from January to March. It would have been easy to expect gloomy forecasts about future prices in light of a large number of stoppages in the Italian paper industry and lacklustre demand for recovered paper as a result.
