Comieco, the Italian consortium for the collection and recycling of paper and board packaging, has held its latest reccovered paper auction on 6 June. For paper mills, this is a possibility to secure volumes for the coming months, as the material will be delivered from July to September. Although demand is expected to remain weak during the summer and prices for ordinary recovered paper grades on the free market might recede in the coming months, buyers made bids at prices that that were similar to those currently valid on the free market....
