The upward pressure on prices on France’s recovered paper market continued for ordinary grades and sometimes for medium grades, too, in February. A series of factors on both sides of the market played their part, according to the latest EUWID market report, with market sources reporting brisk demand and low collection volumes. Paper mills which where hoping to rebuild their inventories are faced with limited supplies. Combined with the upward trend in prices, this situation encourages the payment of spot prices.
