Italian prices for ordinary recovered paper grades still on an upward trajectory

|

Paper markets are experiencing a downswing – and yet recovered paper prices are still rising in Italy, at least for ordinary grades. Corrugated case material manufacturers’ thin order books and falling sales prices for their new paper were unable to prevent the increases in March.

A different picture is being painted for deinking grades, with prices for magazines under downward pressure and typically on the decline. Prices for high recovered paper grades were holding up better, although a couple of price cuts emerged for these grades too.
