The Italian recovered paper market is still feeling the effects of production stoppages and curtailments at domestic paper mills, especially those making corrugated case material. That being said, the situation in October was described as a little better than in September. Exports to Asia lent a helping hand and meant that most waste management companies did not have excessive amounts on stock. The result was that prices for ordinary recovered paper grades recorded only minor reductions on the Italian market in October. By contrast, deinking grades were hit hard by price cuts. High grades managed to hold on to September price levels....
