Recovered paper prices fall in France

Ordinary grades cheaper than elsewhere in Europe / Modest export demand

Prices declined in June across all grades of recovered paper in France. Even though collection volumes were low, the general weakness in customers’ markets meant that price reductions could not be avoided. Prices for higher recovered paper grades, in particular, have been dropping continuously in recent months. Sorted graphic paper for deinking remains a particularly challenging market segment with extremely weak demand. Prices were also softening for the ordinary grades in June....
