(D, UK) – Recovered paper merchants in the UK and Germany complain that the lack of container capacity is limiting Far East exports. In the UK, where few, if any, containers would be available until the end of the month, the shortage had created a log jam of recovered paper, affecting domestic prices, but not halting the export trade altogether. In Germany, the shipping container situation was perceived to be a major difficulty, but had not as yet made its mark on recovered paper prices.
