The French recovered paper market presented a relatively stable picture again in February, at least for the ordinary grades. Domestic demand remained weak but exports to Asia were brisk. Deinking grades were under downward pressure with prices being either stable or receding depending on whether the paper was exported or was sold on the French market. Moreover, first cuts were made to prices of higher recovered paper grades.
