The EU Commission will send a second warning to five member states because they failed to provide information on the implementation of the revised EU Waste Framework Directive. The implementation deadline had expired on 12 December 2010. Bulgaria, Estonia, Greece, Poland and Cyprus will receive a reasoned opinion, the Brussels body announced on Thursday. The letter marks the second stage of the infringement procedure. If the member states do not comply with the conditions set in it within two months, the Commission may take the final step and refer the cases to the European Court of Justice (ECJ).
