The members of Germany's governing coalition appear to have agreed to include waste-derived fuels in the national emissions trading scheme starting in 2024. The previous draft of revisions to the Fuel Emissions Trading Act (BEHG) would have seen the scope of the scheme expanded in 2023. A vote on the legislation in the Bundestag is scheduled for this afternoon.
