The European Commission is "about to launch an online public consultation on the main options" of a new package on the Circular Economy, Environment Commissioner Karmenu Vella told attendees at last week's European Business Summit in Brussels. He added that a stakeholder conference to be held in Brussels on 25 June would likewise offer business and civil society representatives with know-how an opportunity to make their views known.
According to the official conference announcement published last week, the June event is open to all stakeholders and will consist of a plenary session with a keynote from circular economy experts and business and civil society representatives, followed by a series of split-up sessions addressing specific aspects of the circular economy. A panel discussion is to conclude the conference. A registration site would be made available soon, according to the Commission.
