Dow partners with Valoregen and Mura Technology on recycling projects

Chemicals group wants to ensure supply of recycled material

Chemicals company Dow announced on July 21 it would contribute to building a "hybrid” recycling plant that will be owned and operated by the French company Valoregen. The American group also announced that it would be collaborating with British start up Mura Technology to establish 600,000 tonnes per year of chemical recycling capacity in the USA and Europe by 2030.

Sales of products with recycled content are increasing "dramatically", Dow's chairman and CEO James R. Fitterling said during the company's first-half earnings call last week. He reported strong growth in the group's plastic product line incorporating recycled material, with demand exceeding supply resulting in a $1500 per tonne premium for these products....
