When it comes to tackling plastics waste pollution in a global context, the EU is doing comparatively well. However, an estimated €6.7 to €8.6bn in investment is needed if the EU is to deliver on its pledge to see 10 million tonnes of recycled plastics incorporated in new products on the EU market annually by 2025.
