Heidelberg-Cement AG is forging ahead with plans to expand its construction and demolition (C&D) waste recycling operations. Just a few weeks after acquiring the German company RWG, the building materials group has announced another major takeover, this time in the UK. The company, which recently rebranded as Heidelberg Materials, is acquiring the Mick George Group. The German firm announced that Mick George operates more than 40 sites in the UK, including recycling facilities, aggregate quarries and ready-mixed concrete plants. Heidelberg Materials will retain the company's full staff of around 1,000 employees....
