The revision of the Waste Shipping Regulation should "prioritise the EU recycling market" for plastics, by both keeping plastic waste in the EU and making it easier to ship plastic waste between member states. In a statement issued on Tuesday, the industry association Plastics Europe called for the removal of hinderances to intra-EU waste shipments.
