The German company Landbell AG is partnering with Sabic and Mars to advance the chemical recycling of plastic food packaging waste sourced from Germany's yellow bag or bin collections. The partners had managed to achieve a “breakthrough” after 20 months of work on the project, Landbell announced in late October. In the coming weeks, Mars would start using chemically recycled packaging materials for its Kind brand snack bars. The materials will be derived from waste packaging collected by Landbell and reprocessed into certified circular polypropylene (PP) by Sabic, the companies explained....
