WEEE collection volumes in the EU rise to nearly 5 million tonnes

Only Bulgaria and Slovakia meet EU collection rate target

In 2021, a total of nearly 5 million tonnes of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) were separately collected in the EU. This volume was up by around 200,000 tonnes compared with the previous year, but only two member states are currently meeting the EU-wide target of a 65 per cent collection rate.
