Interest in waste plastics in Germany remained stalled at a very weak level in November. The economic slowdown and the uncertain future continue to weigh on demand. Many recyclers will be facing significantly higher energy costs next year compared with this year.
In November, prices for nearly all recyclates declined again, but even these mark-downs could not boost sales volumes. In many cases, recyclers curtailed production by moving forward maintenance work, shortening shifts or idling lines, EUWID was told.
