Prices for most non-ferrous scrap metal grades fall in Germany

The price of copper on the London Metal Exchange continued to fall early in the working week commencing 8 January, before recovering somewhat as the week progressed. Scrap metal merchants in Germany are reporting falling prices for most non-ferrous grades.

According to the news service MBI, the wholesale buying price for most copper scrap grades fell last week. Light copper scrap (Klima) bucked the trend.
