Copper scrap prices rise in Germany in early March

The LME copper price was followed a clear downward trend last week. The impact of the price movement on scrap metal prices has been slight so far, but is likely to be seen in a stronger decline this week.

The news service MBI reported only a modest decline in the wholesale buying-in price for copper scrap of €5 per 100 kilogrammes for the working week commencing 18 September. Brass scrap lost €5-10 in weekly comparison, while the higher aluminium scrap grades edged higher....
