The EU Commission presented its proposal for the Critical Raw Materials Act on Thursday afternoon. Recycling, a key means to securing the supply of critical raw materials, is also to be expanded. In addition, the Commission proposes streamlining the permitting process and shortening permitting timeframes for selected projects. The measures put forward by the Commission this week are intended to ensure the EU's access to a secure and sustainable supply of critical raw materials.
