The Environment Committee of the European Parliament is now scheduled to vote on the proposed EU Packaging and Packaging Regulation (PPWR) later this month. The vote, originally set for September, was pushed back due to the number of amendments that that have been submitted.
Rapporteur Frédérique Ries and the shadow rapporteurs were still working at the start of the week to consoldiate what had originally been over 2,000 amendments.
