Anna Zalewska, the European Parliament's rapporteur for the revision of the Waste Framework Directive (WFD) will present her draft report to the Environment Committee on Monday in which she proposes a wide range of changes to the European Commission's proposal. While many amendments put forward by the MEP from the European Conservatives and Reformist group are targeted and directly address the Commission's focus areas of food waste and waste textiles, others are "overhauling", touching on a broad variety of waste issues such as illegal landfills, municipal waste management, hazardous waste, innovative waste projects and information and education campaigns....
