In 2021 alone, 336,000 more battery-powered cars were registered in Germany than in all previous years. The ongoing mobility transition is also resulting in a glut of used lithium-ion batteries. In an interview with Cornelius Fink, Managing Director of the SNAM Group from Viviez in the south of France, we talked about the challenges facing battery recyclers. Can the European market players withstand the financially strong competition from North America? Mr Fink has his both doubts and hopes for the EU....
