British waste to energy plant operator Cory had another record year in 2022. "Our financial, operational and development progress was excellent," said CEO Dougie Sutherland. The company reported a 31 per cent increase in revenue, with sales reaching £183m (ca. €211m). Cory also achieved a 12 per cent increase in underlying earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (underlying Ebitda) to £83m. The increase was due to additional electricity revenue, higher waste volumes and increased gate fees, said the company. With exceptional costs of over £21m, the statutory operating result came in at nearly -£12m, down from a lost of nearly £6m a year earlier.
