The Austrian packaging manufacturer Coveris has opened a new plastic recycling facility in Louth in the UK. The facility is part of Coveris’s ReCover division and will specialise in recycling printed PE film. The packaging company said that the Louth plant was the second in its portfolio but the first to use deinking technology.
Located at a PE extrusion and conversion site, the ReCover facility is to process printed post-industrial PE film packaging. The facility reportedly uses a new method that removes printing ink from printed packaging film waste. This film waste was then regranulated into recycled PE resin (ReGen), Coveris said....
