Galloo plans new shredder facility in Northern France

The Galloo recycling group has received approval from the competent authority for the construction of a new shredder facility in the port of Harnes in northern France. Operations at the site near Lens are expected to commence by the end of 2026. The project would require an investment of around €32m, the company said at the end of last week.

At the end of March, the recycling company officially inaugurated a new scrap shear at its site in the Port of Ghent, Belgium, a Lidex 8x 110 kW model from the manufacturer Copex. Galloo said that its cutting force of 2,000 tonnes makes it the most powerful shear in the group....
