MBA Polymers UK: new plant will increase capacity by 35 per cent

MBA Polymers UK is expanding its operations with the acquisition of a new recycling site in Wimblington, Cambridgeshire. The company, a member of the EMR group, described the new site as "a pivotal step in its mission to establish a comprehensive nationwide plastic recycling network". The Wimblington facility was formerly owned by Plasgran and now becomes MBA's fourth recycling facility in the UK.

According to MBA Polymer UK's general manager, Paul Mayhew, the acquisition would increase the company's capacity by 35 per cent, accelerating the pace with which the company would reach its 2030 output target of 100,000 tonnes. The additional capacity would support the EMR subsidiary as it expands its product portfolio and increases its colour range, said the plastics recycler....
