Lyondell-Basell acquires 50 per cent stake in Dutch plastics recycler

Multinational chemical company Lyondell-Basell continues to expand its recycling activities. On Monday, the group announced that it had acquired a 50 per cent stake in Rodepa Vastgoed, the holding company of De Paauw Sustainable Resources (DPSR). Earlier this year, the Dutch polyolefin group had invested in a joint venture with the Mensing Group in Germany.

DPSR is engaged in sourcing, processing and marketing post-consumer and post-industrial plastic packaging waste. The Dutch recycler operates production facilities in Hengelo and Enschede in the Netherlands, with a combined annual capacity equivalent to the amount of plastic packaging waste generated by at least 1.7 million Dutch residents in a year....
