Paprec consolidates plant engineering operations with an eye to the international waste-to-energy market

New details announced on €120m wte plant to be built in Scotland

French waste management and recycling company Paprec is merging its own plant engineering operations with those it gained through acquisitions in recent years. The new business unit Paprec Engineering will encompass the plant engineering teams from Paprec, Tiru and CNIM, the company announced on Thursday. The group also presented its plans for a waste-to-energy plant to be built near Perth in Scotland, as part of a partnership with the regional waste management comany Binn Group.

Paprec acquired French waste to energy company Tiru, then operating as Dalkia Wasteenergy, in 2021. At around the same time, the waste management group purchased the operation and maintenance O&M activities from CNIM's waste to energy business. In April of last year, Paprec expanded further into the waste market with the purchase of CNIM's Environment and Energy Engineering, Procurement and Construction (E&E EPC) division, which comprised CNIM's wte and biomass plants engineering and construction operations. These businesses were integrated into the Paprec Energies division along with Paprec's Inova Operations business....
