Following an "excellent first half with strong growth", the French environmental services group Veolia maintained its momentum in the third quarter with a solid increase in revenues and earnings. Growth rates were comparable to those seen in the first half of the year, group CEO Estelle Brachlianoff commented at the release of the group’s financials for the first three quarters of this year in early November.

Veolia reported sales revenues of €10.99bn from its global waste management operations between January and the end of September. Adjusted for changes in the scope of consolidation and currency effects, this figure was around three per cent higher than last year’s adjusted figure. Excluding the impact of lower recycled raw material prices, the growth rate stood at 6 per cent.
